Our first stop on the Mayfest Road Trip is to celebrate the next generations of local artists. Thanks to Public Service Company of Oklahoma, every Saturday in May the best in local elementary, middle and high school student art will be on display at the Renaissance Square Event Center on Route 66. In addition to the gallery, join us for student performances and we will have a small taste of Mayfest in the parking lot as well thanks to a rotation of food trucks.
Our next stop on the Mayfest Road Trip is to host our local artists at Mother Road Market, May 15th-17th. We will have local artists inside and outside, local communities performers and singer-songwriters, and great local food and drink from the vendors inside Mother Road Market. Come buy some great art, listen to great music, and enjoy many of the great things Tulsa has to offer.
No road trip is complete without some great local music and at no point in the Mayfest Road Trip is that more true than our last two stops. During the Route 66 Centennial Celebration. The night before the Route 66 Centennial Cruise on May 29th, join us at the Tulsa Fairgrounds for the Route 66 Tailgate featuring some great local musical guests including Travis Kidd, Joleen Brown, and Jacob Tovar. We also have some other surprises including a live vehicle auction from the Mayfest stage! While you’re here, you can also find several Mayfest artists inside the SageNet center and great vintage vehicles ready to cruise Route 66.
Our last stop on our way back downtown will be on May 30th. From 8am to Noon, during the Guinness Record Route 66 Centennial Car Cruise, Mayfest will be hosting great local musicians like Paul Benjamin and Friends to entertain the crowd and the cruisers from the Meadow Gold District. One of many great Route 66 Centennial Cruise events on 11th that morning before Mayfest, and the Route 66 celebration, move on.
